Linode: More than ten data centers and more cloud service products will be added in the next year

1. Add new data center

The company plans to add more than ten new Linode data centers in North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe by the end of 2023, all equipped with Linode's full product suite. The first new store is planned to open in Ashburn, Virginia later this year, with additional stores to follow in the first half of 2023. It will also be deployed in Amsterdam, Chicago, Delhi, Jakarta, Los Angeles, Osaka, Miami, Paris, Rome, Sao Paulo, Seattle and Stockholm. The exact number of sites, locations and deployment dates are all under active research.

2. New cloud services

These new sites will be prioritized based on customer demand, market analysis, existing and forecasted compute and delivery volumes. Opening locations for Akamai Linode cloud services to new markets and evaluating technical feasibility to ensure each location can support current and future growth.

3. Solve the deficiencies

In addition, 2023 will also see the introduction of a new concept aimed at bringing basic computing power to hard-to-reach locations that are currently unavailable to traditional cloud providers. These are called "distributed sites" and more than 50 cities have been identified where they want to place them.
