Detailed migration information:

Your data will be saved and migrated.

IPv4 addresses will be replaced with new, unused IP addresses, and IPv6 will also be changed.

We still strongly recommend that you back up your data.

Better performance, in San Jose, DMIT uses AMD EPYC Gen 3 hardware platform, your VM is currently running on Gen 2 hardware platform.

Notes on IP changes:

Please ensure that your VM's system has Cloud-init installed and running. This will be the only way for your VM to automatically obtain a new IP address after the migration is complete.

• CentOS 7: yum install cloud-init
• CentOS Stream 8 & 9 & RockyLinux & AlmaLinux: dnf install cloud-init
• ArchLinux: pacman -S cloud-init

If your VM does not have Cloud-init installed, please manually change your IP address through noVNC on the web control panel after the migration is complete.

Root password is required to enter the system through noVNC. If you are using SSH Key to log in to your VM, please log in to your VM and set a password you remember (make sure it is strong enough and do not allow SSH to log in through the password)

Data backup operation:

Please back up your data and make sure your backup is available. If possible, don't save just one backup, we recommend keeping your backups in multiple places just in case
