It should be noted that HostBastic's server does not deduct fees or shut down after the traffic is used up. Instead, it becomes a 10mbps port. The theoretical download speed is more than 1M, which is enough for ordinary websites.

First look at the hardware configuration:

Judging from the hardware test results, the CPU frequency is quite high. The 256M memory does not have virtual memory. If it is used for building a website, it is recommended to use one-click code to add 512M Swap memory. 5G hard drives are inherently small, but this hard drive has a standard stone drive with read and write speeds and is hard enough. If a large number of reads and writes are made to the hard disk, this speed is not enough. However, the 5G hard drive capacity is estimated to not have the opportunity to read and write a large number of hard drives. Download speeds abroad are relatively low. Although the download speed in mainland China is not high, the guarantee is not bad. The speed of China Unicom and Telecom is basically sufficient, but the speed of China Mobile is a bit reluctant. Let’s take a look at the ping value in mainland China:

What a coincidence, it happens to be a delay of 300ms. It was also the same delay when this site evaluated QuickClickHosting's French OVH datacenter. It was no more, no less, exactly 300ms. It seems that OVH is quite "stable". Take a look at the specific routing map:

You can see that China Telecom went around the United States, China Unicom went around Canada, China Mobile also went around the United States, and OVH's French datacenter still took the same detour. Since it is used for building a website, let’s test the packet drop rate of HostBastic:

The packet drop rate is 3%, which is pretty good. You can see that the local China Unicom delay of 349ms is relatively high. Since we are building a website, in fact, with only 256M of memory, it is more suitable to use a one-click environment package like Junge LNMP. However, this website is used to using visual panels, so let’s try installing a pagoda panel:

Because the memory is small, I reinstalled the Debian system and then installed the Pagoda panel. You can see that the memory usage is still very small. The CPU usage and load are not high, but the hard disk is too small. It is fine for building one or two small websites, but it is not enough if there are too many image attachments.

The memory is small, so it is somewhat difficult to build a website. However, the advantage lies in the KVM architecture. , there are many things you can do, such as installing BBR acceleration and so on. The download speed is not fast due to the datacenter, but the packet drop rate is relatively low, so it is relatively stable for building websites.
