The AMD series vps of virmach's Dutch computer room are now on sale. Since the data center is far away in Europe, many people are afraid to try it. Some people really need European chicks. I want to know how virmach is. Here we have a chick. , through actual measurements, we compared the situation during the evening peak and during the day, and now share it as follows for reference only!

Official website: https://virmach.com/

Reminder: At present, whether it is the old Intel series or the new AMD series, as long as they do not work in the computer room in Tokyo, Japan, they will basically be shipped immediately from stock!

Since it is an AMD series and the main frequency is 3.5Ghz, judging from the first few computer rooms tested, they should all be 30xx series, so we can basically conclude that the CPU is AMD RYZEN 9 3950X. You can see from the picture that the IP is New York Broadcasting Netherlands. The current I/O of the hard disk is roughly 1.6GB/S.

FIO tested the reading and writing data of the hard disk in detail. The effect was as if it was going to explode. It was so awesome:

speedtest.net's nearby node test has both uplink and downlink speeds close to 900Mbps. From the node test of the three networks in mainland China, China Unicom's overall effect is much better, while the effect between the nodes of China Telecom and China Mobile is not so stable. :

During the evening rush hour, this European computer room is a bit miserable when it comes to mainland China:

Testing of other nodes in Asia:

iperf3 tests the effect of nodes in Europe and the United States, but this does not affect:

For files stored on the test VPS, the download speed of Guangzhou Telecom directly using the browser:

The difference in download speed during evening peak hours is not very big:

Let’s take a rough look at the delay detection effect of 170 nodes around the world:

For the outbound telecommunications journey, take twelve99 (actually the former telia has been renamed):

For China Unicom’s outbound journey, we also use twelve99:

Moving outbound, CMI International went directly to London and then passed:

Return to Mainland China Telecom: From Telia to the backbone of China Telecom from the UK

Return to China Unicom: take telia to China Unicom's node in Germany and then all the way back via AS4837

Return, move to mainland China:

In the direction of Beijing, take telia from the Netherlands to the UK and then to the east coast of the United States, then cross the United States and return to the mobile node in San Jose on the west coast;

Shanghai direction: Take telia back from the UK

Guangzhou direction: take Telia to the UK, then go to New York, USA, cross the USA to the West Coast, move to the Seattle node and come back

Streaming media-TIKTOK test, belongs to the United States, seems to be able to unlock the US area:

Cross-region detection:

For Europe, please take a look:

Since the IP is American, let’s take a look at the American IP:

Some data on performance testing:

A rough summary:

With 1Gbps bandwidth, the effect when running in Europe and America is still very good. Basically running at 800Mbps is not a problem;

Back to China, China Unicom's return trip is from China Unicom's German node via AS4837, which is relatively okay; China Mobile takes a detour to the west coast of the United States (but uses its own node), and Telecom is probably the worst (telia directly connects to China Telecom) backbone).

The current performance of VPS is amazing!
