Generally, after purchasing Xen VPS, we will directly log in to ROOT and then install the panel or build a website with one-click package. Maybe the problem will not be found when the website data is small or in the beginning. As time goes by, our website data will gradually increase, and then it will Various problems occurred. It turned out that the data disk was full. After checking, we found that the disk was full after only using about 10G. However, the VPS we purchased may have 50GB or 30GB, which means that there are still 20GB or 40GB that have not been loaded into the data disk.
In the article "Complete Linux VPS Mounting Without Hard Disk Tutorial Method", the volume mounting method is used. To be honest, it is a little more complicated, and it also feels particularly cumbersome for users like Snail. Here In this article, Snail shares a commonly used method to quickly mount unused data disks, and if we use the WDCP panel, we can directly mount it to the panel directory, so that all free data disks are fully used for website building needs.
First, check the usage of Linux VPS data disk
Different machines may be slightly different, but the general meaning is the same. For example, my machine has a 30GB data disk. According to the test, only 10GB is currently used. That is to say, if I install it now If you use the WDCP panel to build a website, only 10GB will be used, and the remaining 20GB will not be used. We need to start 20GB and mount it to the WWW directory where WDCP will be installed later.
Seeing the above is relatively simple, there are 20GB mounted in the HOME directory. If we install LNMP and other HOME directory installation packages, we do not need to mount them and install them directly. If we install WDCP, it is in the WWW directory. , you need to change HOME to the mounting directory of WWW.
Second, add a new WWW directory
mkdir /www
mount /dev/mapper/Xvdbgroup-xvdb1 /www
Create a new WWW directory, because the WDCP panel uses the WWW directory, and above we can see that the default 20GB is in the HOME directory, we need to remount /dev/mapper/Xvdbgroup-xvdb1 to the WWW directory
Third, write settings
echo \\’/dev/mapper/Xvdbgroup-xvdb1 /www ext3 defaults 0 0\\’ >> /etc/fstab
Restarting the system in this way will also mount the system completely by default.
We can see that it has been mounted in the WWW directory. Snail reinstall the WDCP panel to see the resource directory occupied by the panel.
We can see that in the VPS 30G hard drive, 10GB is occupied by the system, and 20GB is used for the WDCP panel and website building. In this way, this article has started unused disk mounting for WDCP for Linux VPS.
