Linode VPS free memory upgrade method (you need to choose the operation by yourself)

Just now When using free -m, I found that the memory was still 512M, so I logged into the background and found no instructions for upgrading. So I checked the official blog for news, and it turned out that I didn’t read all the blog posts carefully this morning. The blog post pointed out that we can choose to upgrade or not to upgrade. If we upgrade, we will need to pay an additional US$0.05 for the 1G plan in the future (originally 19.95 per month). I believe 99.9% of my friends will choose to upgrade, because the memory plan that originally cost $39.95 now only costs $0.05 more per month.

Basically, a 24G hard drive and 2T traffic are enough for our average webmasters. If we are in a computer room other than the Fremont computer room, we will find an "Upgrade Available" icon when logging into the backend panel. We can choose to click to upgrade. You need to turn off the VPS during the migration process. About 1G of data will be migrated every minute. If you have a lot of data, it will be slower. After the upgrade is completed, confirm whether our machine is shut down, otherwise we need to start it up. Then we log in to SSH to see if the memory has increased.

From the perspective of the upgrade strategy, the official does not force us to upgrade. If we want to continue to maintain the 512M plan, we will renew it at US$19.95 per month. When Fremont can be upgraded, Snail will definitely be upgraded by then.
