Uninstall the Alibaba Cloud Shield and Server Guard software combination from the Alibaba Cloud server with one click

Under normal circumstances, Alibaba Cloud Shield and Server Guard software will be installed by default on our Alibaba Cloud servers. The main purpose is to automatically detect the security of the server and give certain warning prompts. If there is no problem with our general project, just install it, but it may occupy some server resources. However, the basic version given to us for free by default only has prompt questions. If you need to solve and have a deeper understanding of security issues, you need to upgrade and pay. Maybe this is a routine.

Today Snail will share a one-click package on how to uninstall Alibaba Cloud Shield and Server Guard provided online. The script is from Alibaba Cloud. However, it should be noted that if there are already projects in our server, it is recommended to take a snapshot backup first, in case something goes wrong and we cannot afford it. In fact, generally there is no problem if you don’t uninstall it, but some people may need to uninstall it because certain items may be blocked.

First, preparations

The importance of backups. If there is more important data in our Alibaba Cloud server, no matter whether it is important or not, we must back it up when we are not familiar with the commands and software. Or just learn from Snail and test it on a test machine in advance and then implement it in the production environment. Backups are necessary anyway, and sometimes even experts may have problems.

Second, uninstall Alibaba Cloud Shield and Server Guard

Third, clean up residual files

Fourth, block Alibaba Cloud Shield IP address

Use iptables to block the IP address of Alibaba Cloud Shield to prevent it from being scanned over. In the early stage, our server had the iptables firewall turned on. If it is not turned on, it needs to be turned on.

In summary, the above method can be used to uninstall Alibaba Cloud Shield and Server Guard. After completion, we can restart the server and check whether our projects in the Alibaba Cloud server are normal. If it is not normal, you need to check the problem or we can restore the previous backup to solve the problem.
