Use ownCloud open source program to set up private cloud storage process

The best way is that we can set up our own storage platform. Even if it is placed on a virtual host or VPS, the data is at least in our hands. The premise is that we need to do multi-channel backup. The ownCloud open source program can solve this problem for us. We only need to use ownCloud to set up the platform in an environment that supports PHP, SQLite, MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. The method of building a website is the same as building a CMS website.

First, prepare the website environment and download the OWNCLOUD script

We can build an environment that supports PHP on a virtual host or VPS, and then download the owncloud program.

The current version is already version 7.0.3. If there is a latest version, please pay attention to the official update information. The command to decompress tar.bz2 is tar -jxf owncloud-7.0.3.tar.bz2

Second, installation and deployment

The installation method is very simple. We put the script in the corresponding website directory. Then enter the URL in the address bar to configure user information and configure database connection information.

After the program is uploaded, some systems may need to authorize writing to the directory, and adjust it according to the actual situation.

A -Create an administrator account
