The WDCP panel, which has not been seen for a long time, has been upgraded again.

Upgrading from the original 2.5 to the later 3.1 is still good. It can basically meet the needs of newer software. However, it is still lacking in some auxiliary tools. For example, some webmasters hope that different PHP versions can coexist because many CMS The program is only compatible with specific PHP versions, and the convenience of SSL certificate installation is not available in the old version of the WDCP panel. Snail saw someone mentioned that this update added these two functions, so I was going to install it on the test machine to have a look.

First, install the new V3.2 version normally

According to the combination policy, nginx-1.8.1, apache-2.2.31, mysql-5.5.54, and php-5.5.38 software are installed by default. Here, try directly using the official default installation. This way you can see the custom installation mode and select the required software version and combination.

There is no need to customize the installation here, just install it by default. Then wait and wait until the installation is completed.

The installation time is a bit long, which WDCP should pay attention to. Score nodes allow users to download. In the past, some users even mentioned that some VPS could not download the source software package.

Second, experience the differences between WDCP V3.2 versions

Because I didn’t have the original version on hand, I logged into the backend of the new version from memory and saw that there were basically no other differences, except for PHP version management and SSL certificate management. It is not installed by default. You need to install it before starting it and selecting it when building the website.

Third, install multiple PHP versions

sh lib/phps.sh specific version

According to the official method, execute the script to install version 5.2.17/5.3.29/5.4.45/5.5.38/5.6.30/7.0.18/7.1.4. For example, follow 7.1.4.

sh lib/phps.sh 7.1.4

It is not necessary to install them all. You can choose to install them according to your needs, otherwise they will occupy a lot of resources. After installation, check whether it is started. When adding a site, you can choose which version of PHP.

I will not demonstrate the HTTPS support. According to the introduction, just put the certificate file into the domain name format command and throw it into the cert folder, and then it will automatically match. Please refer to the official documentation if necessary.

In summary, from a functional point of view, this new version of WDCP has added the problem of coexistence of multiple versions of SSL and PHP, and is suitable for some projects that require specific PHP version requirements.
