It should be that starting from January this year, PAYPAL accounts in mainland China cannot perform transfer services between accounts. Therefore, if the PAYPAL accounts of our mainland Chinese users need to be used to purchase consoles and other products, we must either bind them Credit card charges, or we have overseas transfer as a recharge channel. Most of our commonly used overseas hosting, domain name and other products require PAYPAL and credit card payment, which is still a little confusing for novice users.
I remember last week, some netizens asked Snail to write a tutorial about whether to sign the default automatic renewal terms after purchasing an overseas VPS host, and how to solve the problem if it needs to be canceled. Because some merchants sign automatic renewal terms by default, if we do not cancel the bill renewal cycle in the merchant account, or we do not cancel the pre-approved payment in the PAYPAL account, the fee will be automatically deducted in the second payment cycle.
First, how to cancel pre-approved payment
Log in to our PAYPAL account, and in User Information - Financial Information, you can see the picture above. Click "Update" in My Pre-Approved Payments.
We check all the information lists. If we see the option merchant that has taken effect, it means that automatic binding renewal has been set by default. If we do not want automatic renewal, we can click on the merchant.
Then click the Cancel option. We will also receive an email from PAYPAL informing us that the pre-approved payment has been cancelled. In this way, we no longer have to worry about automatic renewal issues from merchants. In fact, as long as we handle it here, there will be no problem. The merchant's bill does not need to be canceled, especially for the machine where we don't know whether it really needs to be renewed. Because after we canceled some merchants, we wanted to manually restore the bill, but they still refused to restore it.
Second, regarding the issue of binding credit cards to PAYPAL accounts
Because many users will find that even if our PAYPAL account has a balance, they cannot pay when purchasing some overseas VPS hosts, and there will be an option to add a credit card (I don’t have a screenshot, so I can’t provide it). This problem occurs because the service provider requires that our PAYPAL account be bound to a credit card.
If we encounter such a problem, we can bind credit card verification to our PAYPAL account in advance. If we have a physical credit card, of course we can use it. We can also use Global Pay virtual credit card verification and binding.
See the picture above. In the financial information section, in the "Debit and Credit Cards" option, click Update and we can add credit card information.
After adding the card, we need to verify that the card is ours.
A fee of HKD15 will be deducted for account verification, and this fee will be refunded to us.
Then we go to the credit card billing center to find the corresponding required 4-digit authentication information, and then re-verify the account.
Then we return to the PAYPAL homepage, click Account Verification, and then enter the 4 numbers above to successfully verify. The verification fee will be refunded to us later. In this way, our PAYPAL account has completed the credit card verification, and there will be no problem for those VPS merchants that require credit card verification.
