First look at the hardware configuration:

You can see that it is an E5 processor with a relatively high frequency. The default 512M memory also comes with 512M Swap memory. These are not bad, but the system load is very high, and the hard disk is also very hard, close to a diamond disk. It uses the LXC architecture, which is not as good as the OpenVZ architecture. Download speeds abroad are relatively poor. Telecom in mainland China is okay, but China Unicom is terrible. Moreover, the test points vary greatly. It seems that everything depends on the weather. The average latency to mainland China is just over 200ms, which is not bad. After all, it is a Los Angeles computer room, which has its own aura of low latency. Take a look at the specific routing map:

You can see that it is in the QN computer room in Los Angeles. Although China Telecom's CN2 line is not used, China Telecom and China Mobile are directly connected to San Jose and then to the QN computer room. China Unicom’s line is better, it’s directly connected to Los Angeles, and the route is pretty good. Take a look at the specific speed of watching videos:

Although the frame drops are a bit high, the speed is pretty good, and buffering for 60 seconds is fine. It’s still relatively smooth for viewing 720P, but it’s just a blur at 1080P.

The above is our review of skysilk free VPS. It can be seen that the hardware is actually good except that the hard disk is too "hard", but the load is too high. It is estimated that all free users are thrown onto one server. Fortunately, the routing is not bad.
