NameCheap sent an email announcing that all domain names registered with them can enjoy free lifetime privacy protection. Of course, you still need to turn it on manually.

In the past, privacy protection for transferred/newly registered domain names was usually free for the first year, but now it is free for life. If necessary, you can save a lot of money.
