A few days ago, Snail briefly compiled UCLOUD server website building tutorials on the website. Some netizens mentioned whether they could compile a few Tencent Cloud server website building tutorials. The WEB environment part of server installation can be omitted, especially for server background functions. To sort it out, provide a slightly detailed tutorial including backup and security group settings. Because we also know that for most servers, as long as we open a space, have an account to log in to SSH or remotely, and install the WEB environment, it will be similar.
So, Snail is going to spend a few articles to briefly sort out the Tencent Cloud server website building tutorial. Today we will mainly learn about the system installation of the server, password reset and IP address change. We don’t need to introduce more about the purchase of servers. We can go to the official website to see if there are any Tencent Cloud discounts and buy them directly.
First, reinstall the system
We usually choose a mirror system to install when opening the server, but if we need to reinstall the server system later, we can go to the Tencent Cloud Server backend to select the mirror installation.
Here we can choose [Reinstall System] as shown in the picture above.
Then we select the required image installation. What needs to be noted here is that sometimes when we choose popular servers, for example, some Hong Kong servers only have Linux systems or Windows systems. Then we can set the ROOT server password. After installation, we will receive a text message reminder or an email reminder. Once we see that the status is OK, we can log in remotely.
Second, reset the server password
If we need to reset the server password, we can also set it in the panel. Sometimes many of our netizens do not use SHELL naming, so they can directly change the password here. For example, if our server has been operated by others, we will definitely need to change the password.
Click [Reset Password], and then we can enter the settings interface and change a new password. After resetting the password, it is best to restart the server to take effect.
If we have friends who use key management to log in to the server, we can create a key.
We can create a key for the current server, and then after creating it and binding the password, we can use the downloaded key to connect to the SSH server.
Third, change the IP address
Is it a good idea to change the IP address? That's right, Tencent Cloud actually provides this nice feature, and we can be eligible to change the IP address of the server. There is a free quota by default.
We can see [Change public IP].
We can see that each account is eligible to be replaced once, and each account can be replaced three times. But will we become ineligible once our replacement qualifications are exhausted? But it doesn’t matter, we can change the public IP to an elastic IP, then create an elastic IP and then convert it to a fixed public IP. This is also the feature of Tencent Cloud Server that Snail has seen so far, especially some friends who want different IP addresses.
