In fact, this is not a particularly useful skill, but if you use a virtual host to build a website, you need to open ftp to upload the code you find on github every time it is updated. Sometimes you need to open ftp to change something yourself. It’s really troublesome, so is there any way to mount the website directory of the virtual host to our own computer so that we can operate it locally? There must be.

The method is very simple.

1. Enter My Computer, right-click on a blank space, and select [Add a network location]

2. Select Next, select [Select a custom network location], and then Next

3. Enter your ftp address, and then take the next step. If you don’t know the format, please check the example. We are using Jing’an’s virtual host here.

4. Please enter your ftp username and do not check [Anonymous login]. Note here that if your username has the special character [@], please replace it with [%40] because it needs to be escaped.

5. Enter your name, this is optional, and then you are done.

6. Enter your password, check Save Password, and you’re done.

At this point, we can easily manage the files in ftp. If your network is sufficient, you can use the space as a backup disk.
