Earlier in May this year, Microsoft made internet connection and Microsoft Account (MSA) mandatory requirements for installing Windows 11 22H2 Insider Builds. Thankfully, the OOBE\BYPASSNRO workaround we discovered earlier still works, and Windows 11 22H2 can be installed manually using a local account.

Now Windows installation disk creation tool Rufus has also joined in, adding a new option to bypass Windows 11 22H2’s mandatory Microsoft Account (MSA) requirement in its latest pre-release version 3.19 Beta. This is part of the new selection dialog for Windows 11 settings customization in Rufus.

In addition to setting the bypass to bypass the MSA, the new dialog box also adds options for TPM and secure boot bypass. These options were added in the previous Rufus 3.18 Beta version.

The following is the changelog for the new Rufus 3.19 beta, describing these new features:

Added a new selection dialog for customization of Windows 11 settings.

Secure Boot and TPM Bypass have now been moved to this dialog box

Also allows bypassing Windows 11 22H2 mandatory Microsoft account requirement (note: the network must be temporarily disabled or unplugged to create a local account)
