If you need to enable the backup service that comes with Linode VPS, you need to pay. The monthly fee is 2.5 US dollars. You can set up automatic backup and manual snapshot backup, and can back up 4 nodes. This is indeed a bit stingy. If you pay, you can support 7 Backing up points every day or half a month, 4 nodes are really not enough.

First, enable the backup service

What Snail needs to say in advance here is that the backup service requires payment. You can activate it with just one click. However, if it needs to be closed, you must submit a work order to customer service to manually close it.

Log in to the current VPS host panel, then find backups, and then click Enable backups for this Linode if you need to turn it on. It can be turned on, but you cannot turn it off by yourself. You have to contact customer service.

Second, set up a backup plan

Here we can set up automatic backup and snapshot manual backup. Automatic backup can back up 3 nodes, and snapshot backup can back up 1 node. That is to say, if you repeat the snapshot backup, the previous backup point will be replaced. (The resources given are really few)

Similarly, after the backup is completed, we need to restore the data directly by clicking on the backup point to restore. The cost of automatic backup is not too high. If you don't like to back up by yourself or are afraid of misoperation when operating the operating system, you can use snapshot backup just in case.
