UCLOUD merchants originally followed the commercial enterprise route, and individual users initially looked down upon it. However, later, perhaps due to listing issues, and in the future, they may hope for more market users, and attract users through promotional hot-selling activities. So we saw that there are still cheap cloud servers that are convenient for personal use, which can make up for our inability to obtain preferential products for new users from Alibaba Cloud and Tencent Cloud merchants.

UCLOUD currently offers a preferential package for Hong Kong servers and Mainland China servers. This snail also introduced how to receive coupons in the previous article. The pitfall that we need to pay attention to when choosing products is that when we receive coupons, we must see clearly what the configuration is, and then choose products with the same configuration to enjoy the discount. Otherwise, you will not see the event discount. This is not a problem with the merchant. It is caused by the wrong choices we may have made.

Second, about server mirroring and security group issues

Snail has also discovered this problem. When we chose to reinstall the UCLOUD mirror system, we saw that the installation was successful, but in fact we still need to wait for a while before we can log in to the remote SSH. If we log in immediately, it will not work. Yes, this is slightly delayed. At the same time, when we install the UBUNTU system, the default user name is ubuntu, not the root we are familiar with. We can see the user name problem when installing the system.

At the same time, security group issues. UCLOUD also needs to set up a security group. Although the WEB port can be selected by default, only a few ports are open. We need to establish our own dedicated security group.

Third, about backup issues

Currently, Snail sees that there is only image backup in the background of the UCLOUD panel, but it needs to be shut down first. Snapshot backup seems not to be perfect yet, so when we use UCLOUD server to build a website, we must use other backup functions, such as regular backup of our panels and tools to local or third-party object storage.

We need to know that if merchant servers such as UCLOUD fail or are attacked, it will lead to empty routes. Our server cannot be logged in and accessed. If our data is not backed up, we will have to wait before we can access it. If there is data We can move to other places for temporary access at any time.

Fourth, regarding UCLOUD bandwidth issues

According to the official policy, we see that there are 1-10M bandwidth to choose from in the server configuration, but according to UCLOUD's regulations, the maximum return route is 2M, so we need to pay attention to bandwidth issues when choosing.

A – If the purchased bandwidth value is less than or equal to 2Mbps, the upper limit of the bandwidth back to the mainland is the purchased value.

B – If the purchased bandwidth value is greater than 2Mbps and less than or equal to 20Mbps, the upper limit of the bandwidth back to the mainland is 2Mbps.

C – If the purchased bandwidth value is greater than 20Mbps, the bandwidth back to the mainland is limited to 1/10 of the purchased value.

We can see that if we purchase a bandwidth of more than 2M and less than 20M, the online bandwidth back to the mainland is limited to 2M. We need to pay attention to this, especially if we want large bandwidth, the return speed may not be what we bought. But there is not much problem with the basic solution.
