Mirrors have the following characteristics

Close the server manager and enable it to start automatically at boot. 6. Turn off IE security enhancement configuration 7. Turn on Windows Remote Desktop 8. Turn off the Windows built-in firewall 9. Other system optimizations based on Dism, such as removing shortcut arrows, etc.

Installation method

Currently, it has been tested and successfully installed on Tencent Cloud, Vultr, DigitalOcean, Cloudcone, and Kimsufi.

1. Installation process on virtio-based KVM Choose CentOS 7 or Debian 9 system. The memory should not be too small, it is recommended to start with 4GB. Use the root user to ssh in, execute the following command, and then wait quietly. The installation speed depends on the speed of the network image download. Basically, after waiting for 15-60 minutes, open VNC again and you will see the familiar Windows login interface.

2. Installation process on Kimsufi’s server After entering the rescue mode, use the root user to ssh in, execute the following command, and then wait quietly.

Note: There are many graphic tutorials on the Internet about how to enter rescue mode on Kimsufi's server. You can find out by just searching.

After the installation is completed on some KVM-based VPS, such as Vultr and DigitalOcean, when you log in to the remote desktop for the first time, you will see a black window flashing past, which is the execution of the command to automatically identify the partition. Therefore, there is no need for you to manually expand, the hard disk has been automatically expanded successfully. 4. The DD image of Windows Server 2019 is a 15GB VHD, and the rest are 12GB VHD. Sometimes you need to manually expand the disk after successful installation on some servers, such as Kimsufi. 5. Using Windows DD images may violate the TOS of some merchants.
