First, HostUS panel sets the Win system and startup mode

We log in to the backend of the current HostUS KVM account, set the settings shown in the picture above in Settings, select the Windows system version for the OS, the Boot boot mode CD-ROM, and finally save.

Second, restart the server

After we set the startup mode, we need to restart the system. See the picture above to restart the machine to take effect.

Third, HostUS KVM mounts Windows system

Here we need to mount the Windows system, 2008/2012 is available. We select the Windwos system in the CD-ROM/ISO menu and click the Mount button. (HostUS KVM requires 2GB of memory or more to install the Win system, otherwise it will be difficult to install. This is a bit excessive)

Fourth, the process of installing Windows system

We need to restart again after mounting. After restarting, according to the figure below, we need to enter the remote desktop to operate the process of installing the system. This process has been installed by Snail in many stages, and it is nothing more than a visual Windows system installation process.

The next thing you need to pay attention to is to select the driver, delete the drive letter and then reformat the partition. Otherwise, the installation cannot continue.

Fifth, restore the hard disk boot method after installation

After we complete the installation, we need to restore the HDD hard disk boot mode, otherwise we have to reinstall it every time we restart and log in remotely. After setting, we can restart the system to take effect.

To summarize, although the HostUS KVM environment supports the installation of Windows systems, the default installation method in the panel requires 2GB of memory. This cost is a bit high, and the price is quite high. It is better to buy other machines; if we want to save costs, we can only use Install using DD method.
